Researchers at the University of Strathclyde led by Professor Simon Mackay, a recent speaker at one of our Edinburgh Member evenings, have received a grant worth more than £500,000 to help develop an all-new drug to treat prostate cancer. The grant has been awarded by Prostate Cancer UK as part of its Research Innovation Awards scheme. The study aims to develop a new type of drug and bring it a step closer to clinical trials. ELPCSG members will recall that Professor Mackay gave a fascinating and stimulating talk to our group in late 2018. Our warm congratulations go to Professor Mackay and his team, and we look forward to receiving updates on the research. More information about the grant can be found here
