There were 12 of us on the 4.4-mile walk, which followed a circular route around Hermitage of Braid & Blackford Hill local nature reserve in South Edinburgh. The walk started at the Lodge Coffee House on Braid Road at the entrance to the Hermitage path, and ended with lunch in the Waiting Room pub at Morningside Station. Our oldest (and now nonagenarian) member joined us for lunch there.
